While I'm waiting for my EGC, I accidentally bought another guitar:

EGC posted a Titanium anodized Chessie body via FB the other day and I was instantly giddy with excitement. A quick look and it was obvious that it was not mine. Sadness soon followed....

let me know what you find out price/wait wise. i sorta like that two tone thing they got going on but at 11.5lbs that might be heavier than my lp...

They're heavy, but worth it. I looooove mine
I think now that they have things rolling the wait time is significantly less than it was before.
I know a guy who just got one out of the last batch and he said he'd been waiting 3 years for it, but I know the bridge was completely redesigned.
As far as price I think they're close to $2k

Mine is so old that it had some pretty ancient lower output Dimarzio's in it that had taken quite the beating. They were REALLY quiet in terms of signal strength.
But these new EGC pickups rule. They're WAY louder, crisp, clear, and the neck pickup has this immense growl to it which rules!
I definitely need to pick up a better strap though. The one I have on it now is okay (just a standard cheap strap) but I really need something with some padding as you only start to feel it about an hour into playing it and the next day haha

Haha, I know exactly what you mean about the GAS. And you're so right, the custom order will probably be like the wait to end all waits. At least you already own one EGC to keep you company during.
And yeah, I was blinded by excitement when I saw that Chessie, so much so it took me a minute to realize the F-holes weren't what we discussed and the toggle was in the wrong place. Gonna put my switching controls (3-way toggle plus two 3-way Mustang slider switches) on a custom control plate on the bottom horn.
Good news is Kevin emailed yesterday to let me know mine is being anodized as we speak so it should be back with the next batch of stuff. Fingers crossed.

Totally understandable. Those Obstructures look super badass!

Basically anybody that gets my money from now on has to give a clear window of when i can expect the guitar and be able to stick to that. Im not saying kevin cant but it def seems like that with some people he can and with some people he doesn't. Its seems like a draw and and cant swing that. I want a second guitar with some different specs and if kevin can do that in a clear cut manner he will get my business again. If obstructures can do it thats great aswell but im not waiting a year or two ever again. If i had know it would take this long i could have gone ahead and purchased a cab for the meatsmoke i got today but instead i made sure i had my egc paid off who knows how early. Ill also add that any updates ive had to ask him for....which kinda makes me feel like im bugging him. Again not trying to really shit on kevin just being honest so other bros will know what to expect.
