To what degree I wonder?
I think you've had to have done some pretty fucked up shit. As you might be aware of, our prison system is quite liberal...

The first time I read about prison was from Varg's writing and interviews with Varg. So after seeing what he did and then him getting the max 21 years and being able to release albums (real fucking shitty ones) he wrote in jail lead me to believe it was pretty lenient.
I think Norway's approach is so much better than the US. Hell, this summer, a kid was facing life in prison for plans to sell a batch of brownies with a whopping 2.5 grams of pot in them (like $20 worth here). I've probably smoked 2.5 grams in a day before. Norway uses prison for rehabilitation and in the US it's just used as a punishment to ruin people's lives. Don't get me wrong though, in some sinister and violent cases, a severe punishment is necessary I feel.

In extreme cases, you'll get "custody", which can basically mean life in prison. So it's not all fun and games. But yeah, I agree, rehabilitation is the way to go in many, maybe even most, cases.

Ah I was not aware of that, I was wondering what would happen if someone did something super fucked up where they really should not be back in public. Ideologically Norway is much more my kind of place rather than in the US but will I ever have the money to move? I doubt it. Plus gear is a lot cheaper here it seems

This thread is inviting me to say stuff I don't want to say about justice and jails in murica.
Also, I want someone to cuddle with.

I've had way more fun learning trombone this month than I've had playing guitar like...all year. Brass bass instruments are just more comfortable for me.
Coming soon: post-brass doombone
For real though, the distortion-like multiphonics are really cool if you do them right.

Totes gonna. I'm still trying to get the hang of hitting notes correctly; right now I run it into an SM57 going into my tuner.
Shit rocks when you can hear your own progress, though.

That's awesome. In high school I wanted to switch over from guitar to tenor saxophone but I didn't cos I couldn't afford a sax.
Since then I've probably bought several saxophones worth of guitar shit

I also really want to learn the harp but I can't think of a more intimidating instrument. There are so many cool orchestral instruments that are just impossibly expensive and/or not even slightly portable.
