Awesome! Let's continue on the path of slayed strats. Here's mine in the previous incarnation, much like skully's but with a shitty thin see-through plastic guard:

Did this last week:

These guys are under the hood:
A headphone shell as a mic in the bridge position, alas it stopped working after I put it in so I hope I can fix that next time I crack it open.

And an empty humbucker as shaker box with a contact mic in the middle position

Volume pot and on/off output selection switches (it has two outputs) for each of these. Put random strings I had lying around on it (ended up .70 .60 .52 .36 .26 .14) and tuned it to whatever sounded good which ended up #F#C#C#F#C#F. Action is ridiculously high (so high that I can't even intonate it properly) so I'm probably trying to straighten and shim the neck next.

Oh god, I need some clips of that thing in action. Sounds like it would just puke noise.

I've got two electric guitars in the house at the moment (one borrowed, though I did used to own it)

The borrowed one: an 80s Rickenbacker 330

The other one I built myself on a course:

ripping me off, huh? :p Looks really cool - coincidentally I have a red strat with the same jack plate, only on mine the extra jack is for a piezo lodged behind the springs in the back.

This is so tuff. Would love a 330.
I have a blacked-out 625 right now.

haha, I was only joking - ideas just come out of the ether, right? Nah, I sold it last summer in my pursuit of rampant minimalism, but I've got a piezo underneath the vibrato plate on my mustang so I can still cop similar tones.

It's one of Guitar Fetish's Bigsby clones.

That's the one. Very stable, easy to install, totally worth the money.

Well, ideas do just come out of the ether sometimes, but I definitely stole this one from you

I can do a little video if you wanted, once I get the neck back from the shop and get it together again.
