I really really really want to make asountrack for something... like a movie, an installation, a video game, something
do something that's out of my regular zone
i can feel it.... i feel the excitement when i think about making beats and playing around with them and making some trip-hop/ambient music around them
i want to do it
but making a soundtrack to nothing is not as inspiring

i've been saying for decades that volume is a necessity because it makes more of the overtone series audible.

so i started working with beats and programming in general in FL studio
the plan is to make beats, pads and keys in there and then record guitars in Cubase to the backing track
it's kind of a whole new world to me
so i'm a bit struggling

FL studio is fun! I used to have a cracked copy of an old version and spent loads of time just making beats, I had no way to record at the time. I wasn't very good at it though (still not).

FL is honestly a pretty neat DAW. You have to work harder to make the preset instruments in there sound not silly but it's good fun. Pretty easy to use too imo

Hooked up with a dude I work with last night. I mean it was fun and everything, I'm just a little apprehensive about the possible awkwardness. I also feel strangely guilty too even though my dude and I ended things. IUNNO MAN. :end vent:

Yeaahhh. Too many issues started to surface that, if ignored and allowed to continue, would've just made both of us more and more miserable as time went on. Better to end it sooner than later unfortunately.
