Here ends yet another 9:00 A.M.-5:00 A.M. day, the middle of a back-to-back-to-back.

And my weekend is super booked Friday night-sunday night. Looks like I'mma be sleeping like a motherbitch on Thursday night.

the power tubes in the Laney are starting to go, and i won't be able to afford new ones for another month at least. i'm swapping in old ones which are noisy but at least don't go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMM at unexpected intervals. and i'm gonna have to go out tomorrow--HA! today--and do a bunch of taking-care-of-business shit, and i don't want to do anything but sleep. i'm really, really tired of being alive. it's as if things are set up so there's just enough enjoyment in life to make it bearable enough that you don't die. i'm all "fuck this shit."

In a fit of rage when I was writing an essay for a college application, I saved the document as 'FUCKING UCONN BULLSHIT.' I forgot I did that, and emailed it in with my application.

In one of my undergrad classes I outdid that one. I was working on a programming project with my two partners, somewhere around hour 35 in a coding session (artificial intelligence, what a horrific class). We were all so punch-drunk that we were basically delirious. One of my partners just started answering every single question or statement with "N**** Please!" (keep in mind, this was right in the middle of the Chris Rock era) After like an hour of that, I said that if he kept saying it, I was changing his first name on our project to "N**** Please". He kept saying it. So I changed it. Like 6 hours later we finally finished our project. No one ever changed it back. We handed the project in that way. Fast forward a week later, we are all standing up in front of about 75 people and a whole panel of professors. We pull up our project on the projector. Up on the screen on 3-foot-tall letters:

Solving Basic Substitution Keys using AI (or something like that, who knows it was 12 years ago)

Ben Carl
M_____ R______
N**** Please B_______

Let me just say that the noise we heard was an incredible combination of gasps, murmurring and a few isolated guffaws. That was a fun morning :picard:

I just got done close to a 14 hour shift, and I went to order a pizza, but I'm so tired that I kept getting confused when she'd repeat stuff back.

I'm pretty sure she thought I was really stoned. I also ordered a lot of food for just one person, haha.

Oh well. Whatever.

Definitely.

I also answered the door before the delivery guy even made it to the door. I was really just MAD hungry, but I think I might have scared him a little.

Edit: note to self: Do not eat chicken wings in bed again. So much mess.
