However, it also feels lame that I havent yet received my pedal from the previous batch and it has already been improved/altered - unless the one I will receive can be updated similarly. I know its a conundrum.
Hi, Can you email me directly so I can see what is up with your order? I sent out some email yesterday regarding this to people who had made pre orders and had not paid the balance, and at the same time it looks according to my records that everyone who has paid in full has had a pedal sent out, so if you did not get that email or a pedal there is a problem with our book keeping and I would like to sort it out. The updates are minor on the new version, but we will always be constantly updating. The ones people are buying now will be inferior in some way to the next ones as well (sorry guys). Please contact me and we will sort it out.

pre-ordered! this will be my second. As a side note, I had to send my CT5 to scott for repair because the power plug-in fell into the pedal, and I was too scared to solder it myself once I opened it up. His turnaround was very fast - it was less than 3 weeks (including shipping it to canada and then back to the US). good stuff! :thumb:

I'm selling my V1 but I'm still a bit scared about the sound quality upgrade on the V3...
Any answer on V3 having more/less highs or the possibility to downgrade the soundquality of V3 to V1/V2 specs Scott?

I too have preordered, wonder about sound quality! I also have and love v1 gb24 because of the noise and low fidelity but I'm looking forward to even better fidelity on the new ct5.
ah no comment at the moment, but also I don't know if i follow exactly what you are talking about. maybe you could make a clip and comment on when the highs are too much/compare with gb24.

I don't have a GB24 anymore unfortunately.
I love the CT5 but in comparison to the GB24 I sometimes feel (especially in the octave up range with higher feedback settings) that it is overpowering the direct signal, probably due to the higher fidelity, even higher fidelity would in that case likely make things go in that direction even more.
Maybe a high end roll off tone control would be an idea, I don't know.
