That's how EHX does it, except they're in Queens, NY.

Yes it's his right to bitch about CB as is my right to point out how pointless this thread is, Also invested if you mean I dig CB as a company and hate when people disguise trolling as personally complaining about things they don't like then yes call me invested.

:hello:

I get that CB pedals aren’t for everyone (I don’t have any) and it’s fine to criticise and rant but you certainly don’t have to be “invested” to find most of the op’s posts in this topic pretty lame and childish...

Couldn't have said it better!

"invested" as in "i paid too much money for this stuff and thus have to defend it rather than face the possibility i was wrong."

Pretty sure UG (and hopefully his kinfolk) would agree that the only solution to any problem is just to keep buying more stuff :idk:

I beg to differ. I know I would. How do you know I'm not in a fairly successful band? I'm talking 10's of thousands of records.
my dude, after a statement like this you simply have to tell us which band you play in. I would love to hear some red panda on that innovation beat
Tell you what, when I finish my solo project I don't mind posting it. I'll send you a track now in DM's but you gotta promise not to share. The track will eventually be in that solo project anyway.

my problem with CB is the perceived gap between price/hype and usefulness in most scenarios. i haven't trawled every demo, but i haven't heard anything from their gear that i need which couldn't be accomplished with a box at 40% or less of their price. i believe that much of the music market/consumer base is now obsessing about trying to make things perfect when that "perfection" is imperceptible to anyone but the player. it's like the Gear Page guys moaning about tremolo latency. just get on with it, you know? that said, i know a guy who bought the distorto thingy with the sliders and thinks it's totally tits. since he's in Indiana, there's no possibility of checking his out.

there's also possibly a division here between what different folks are looking for from their gear. i guess CB works for people who like their equipment to suggest (create?) different possibilities. i don't totally disagree with that--why else would i own 14 guitars?--but in general i'm looking for equipment that makes the sounds i hear in my head.

It sounds like you don't like the gear because it doesn't work for you and not for any deeper reason. And that is fine because that's why we like/don't like things - taste is everything with all music gear (and music). I had a chase bliss pedal (spectre) for a while and it sounded amazing, but the surfeit of options really annoyed me and now I'm happy with a BF-2

Not everyone likes the complicated pedal thing. But I don't think me not enjoying complicated pedals makes companies who make complicated pedals bad designers. Just means they aren't making stuff for me.
