Step 1 is making music and capturing it. The more you do it, the better it gets. Plenty of bands have released songs, evolved them, and released them multiple times. Go for it.

Hey, the prophecy was correct, we survived!

So, last year I got around to selling one of the SGVs and other superfluous stuff that wasn't in use. This year, I'm not sure what, if anything, I'll do gear-wise. Still kinda looking at sound-on-sound'y frippertronics delays, but also not entirely sure about what I'd use one for. My mind is also whispering about octave down pedals of the Blue/Buzz Box variety, but then I strangle some ridiculous subs out of one of my oscillating fuzzes and am content. I also sort of want a Suneater again, mostly just to have a Fuzzhugger pedal hanging around. And it sounds so good. But the fuzzes I have also sound good. So my mind loops back.

I think that Chords of Orion channel has a few videos about Frippertronics sound, maybe help you to figure out what are the best options out there.

Well, about the topic, in this moment my setup is very small and incomplete. I don't have an amp, though this year I started to try out preamps pedals like amps, so maybe I go in search of a cab, 2x12 sound like a good option. Also I would like to have another guitar (I just have one) so I can them in different tunings. And of course, complete my pedalboard is one of the things that I have to acompplish this year. I'm not that far to get it, just need a wah, a good delay and a good multi-mod pedal. All of this not sound very complicated to achieve, but my economy is not helping :( even so, I know that good things are coming up :)*

Guitar GAS kind of came and found me. I need to get a neck and install on the GarbagePailCaster body. Once that’s built, my old trash caster probably gets strung as a baritone-ish thing. Of course, I also need to finally do weirdo wiring and pickup configuration on that one.

Really enjoying my initial post where I said “oh I don’t really have any huge 2021 wants I’ll probably just sell some pedals” and it’s January 9th and I’ve already bought a Lost Ark PLL and ordered an envelope filter from reverb.....

That Lost Ark looks sick, though. Which envelope filter did you get?

It’s so great - I’m really happy with it! And I ordered a DOD 440, for $100 I couldn’t pass it up. I have always wanted one with simple simple controls like that one.

Nice, the DOD has always looked great to me. The Ibanez AFL has also tickled my fancy.

I’m really excited. They’ve always gone in the $200+ market used and are never sold new. I have flipped so many over the years and always wanted the simplicity (and green sparkle!!) of the DOD.

Those prices for a DOD 440 are blowing my mind. It's a solid envelope filter but wtf

Dang. I guess I should have bought one or two at $40 for flips. Except I hate envelope filters, largely because the DOD/Digi one my brother had in the mid 90s.

Adding to my list..... baritone, probably 7 string. And I'll flip the bass VI to help fund it - bass VI tuned to A is fun but the scale is too long.

I don't think they're bad :idk: there are better options though except when they used to cost $40 or something

I had one and it was alright. Not in the good sense of alright. Just... alright.
