i do think that one 80tape filter tremolo is pretty damn cool though, but i've never seen anyone talk about it.
yeah -it's quite cool, between the ability to add noise to the waveform, to the ability to tap in a pattern and then export that via cv. it's a shame Jonny can't build more, b/c he's an original....
i'd def jump on it if you're interested in a flexi trem and one pops up used....

nope - not particularly resonant; not extreme - it's still a trem with filtering applied, but you can change the resonant freq - it's a secondary function....

Missed last year, Stoked to be back in for this year.
T- Shirt Size Large
My wife and daughter have two cats. One of them is a 25 pound monster garfield cat.
Can play any music format though the preamp for my record player broke today.
No dietary restrictions.
Like beer, etc.
Not into anything out of the ordinary for ILF. Bleep bloop machines, glitch stuff, synth, sampler, and rack nonsense. Stuff that can MIDI sync. Since the spring mostly been going nuts on the banjo and lately banjo through pedal board. Scored two at a yard sale and its my jam apparently.
If you think it's cool, I'll think it's cool.
Hail Satan!!

I'm 176 cm tall and weigh 70 kg.
This info may not have been possible to glean in my posting history. It's unlikely to be helpful either.

vidret wrote:I'll throw another thing out here since I thought of it again today; tascam 414 portastudio mk2.
I look at this thing two-three times a year but never give in

it's a bit too expensive for satan but maybe it says something about what i want and like
thinking aloud in this thread: Is there a modern alternative that does basically what the tascam 414 mk2 does, but perhaps smaller footprint and digital instead of tape?
The op-1 has tracks in it but only records in mono and one stereo out, so there's no mixing of several signals in the same way, but this is what I use now. A modern 4-track recorder/mixer with all the ins/outs and simplicity of the tascam would be swell.
what say you, ilf?
Apart from the tiny Zoom devices that look great but are tempermental (like the MRS-4, though they still manufacture the R16 & R24, however), Tascam still makes the smaller digital multis that you would expect, i.e this DP-03SD, which has two ins & an RCA stereo out
I've been meaning to offload my 424 MK3 for a little while, and the only thing comparable to that one is the Tascam DP-24SD, which is probably too much in this case, but still has most of the functions (sans pitch wheel, obvs), inputs, etc. Seems totally nuts, but why not?
Too bad it doesn't look as cool as this Yamaha MT2X, but what from the tape machine era really does?
