I thought this was going to be a Reverb type article like "how to make electronic music using effects pedals"
"The Line6 DL4 is a staple on any electronic musicians pedalboard. You can buy a Line 6 DL4 on reverb dot com. Congratulations, you re an electronic musician!"

Great article. Reminds me of an old Aphex Twin interview where he talks about underground music in the late 80's/early 90's and how those guys were making music on shit drum machines/samplers and had no regard to what key a song was in. They'd come into the club after a 12 hour shift doing manual labor and just crank out noise all night because they loved it.

Underground music has been under siege for a LONG ass time. Ever since major labels figured out that they can manipulate smaller artist and then ruin them. I stopped listening to DJ music other than dudes I know that are real and killer (RJD2, Dan the Automator, DJ Shadow, MR.Scruff...etc). There are so many lazy artist these days. It makes me sick. That song in the article was terrible, beyond terrible. I'd be ashamed if I made that fluff. LOL! I'm not the best anything but yea this article is on point.

Yeah, this is a big reason for why I've stopped following the pedal industry closely. I like boxes that make fun sounds which I can make into music. But limited editions, special versions etc. aren't as fun when it's a sales tactic instead of something meaningful. If that makes sense. Maybe it doesn't, it's super sunny and warm and I'm tired.

No it makes sense. I know exactly what you're saying. It's obnoxious and has driven me away from a lot of companies. I could name them, but I won't because that's mean. lol

It makes sense. I only follow things to the extent that I read things on here a lot but I don't check what builders are putting out or read the NAMM threads or whatever till someone brings it up in an actual conversation.
