But you could have bought a Space Echo with the price of your Superdelay.

Well with the cost of maintaining a Space Echo combined with the fact that I'm in college just makes it more idyllic to have a SD instead. I still love it to death too.

Cost of up keep? Bah! Tape isn't that pricy and you really don't need to re-tape all that often, once a year maybe. Once you buy a head de-magnetizer if should last you for life. The rest isn't worth talking about, Q-tips, cleaner and the like...
Keep in mind I DO NOT GIG WITH IT, I use Maxon AD900's for live.

Also I've had the space echo longer then they have been "trendy", it was sitting in a closet for like 15 years before I got it over 12 years ago.

The meat box got cheaper a few years ago (when I got mine in the $40-$50 range) and stayed down for a while, but now seems like it has picked back up. There were also a lot more available when I got mine. Keep your eyes peeled and you might be able to get a better deal.

I really dig using the oscillator in my TP and running it into my Time Bender and fucking with the harmony knob. I also use the envelope delay and set it to the random modes and get some pretty crazy sounds. I keep thinking of getting rid of the Time Bender for something simpler but it has too many uses to dispose of

how does the expression pedal input on the Last Gasp fuzz change the sound? is it texture wise or can it change the screech pitch?
im in lust with that picture of the tape space echo and pedals

*also, Audible Disease is coming out with a DOD buzzbox clone very soon, if anyone is interested. im sure it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper then what you can find the originals on ebay for.

Dammit, I was hoping I could just buy a PCB from Shawn...
I'm sure they will be (more) affordable, and AD's prices aren't "too high", but still not what I'd call "cheap", either (which isn't a complaint, it's just that I can almost never afford boutique gear)... Still, it sounds promising... I like the idea of these "collector's" items being made available at (sane) prices.
PM me if you want the DOD PDFS for the Buzz/Meat Box, folks... AND THEN BUILD ME ONE!
Just promise you WILL NOT pull a fucking "Gristlizer" on us all and try to sell clones for more than they are worth, haha.

that is GREAT news if it is true. i love my Convulsion CN-1 & i think Audible Disease is extremely reliable & great at what they do. they keep stuff in stock. reply promptly to general inquiry emails. et cetera...
i was never one to fetishize the Buzz Box but i would probably get the Audible Disease clone. it is definitely in my price range. i need more distortions anyway. definitely need more high-gain distortion.
anyway this is great news...
