me too. i dunno, likers gonna like, i guess :idk:
Dubs it might be a bit too turgid for you in parts but that Melting Hand record has a fair amount of the more apocalyptic airplane (House at Pooneil Corners &c.) in its DNA.

Which isn't unusual, I guess -- 'cause Spacemen 3 are one of my all time favorites -- but it is a thing.

Anyway! The latest Melting Hand might be up some folks alley:

The new HOF seems to come out the gates with something to prove. Great album. Have only gotten through it twice but I’m digging it.

Your music rec is usually up my alley. Will check melting hand.

Yea but you're old and grumpy now. You can't like hear the new music man. hahaha

For real though, you're doing yourself a disservice by #1 not enjoying the single since it has a super powerful message (even if we've heard it before). Time to put your silicon obsession down, take a look around, find a way in the silence. Just that one bit of the song speaks volumes of our cell phone addicted world. Technology is ruining our brains man. That's why I like ILF so much, it's so 90's still.

On the Hip Hop thing. I fucking love hip hop. The new Dr. Octagon came out and that shit is dope! Murs came out with an album last year, always a awesome group. Really, I want more hip hop. I've been listening to my older stuff for too long.

Not a fan of the new A Perfect Circle record, as performed and recorded by Keane.

That's ok. I'll take all their records for myself. :)

I was on board with all of them, even the covers album, but I just cannot co-sign this newest one.

i laid down some burns on the topic of music this week that i really enjoyed. i'm not sure which i prefer, saying that Tom Petty was "a Florida cracker who wanted to be Roger McGuinn" or saying that Yes was funkier than Creedence Clearwater Revival.

I'd never listened to any of their other music except when it came on. So I listened to the first record for comparison, and thought it was good. I gave up 3 songs into the new one because I really, really wasn't enjoying it. :idk:

It honesty took me several listens to enjoy it. I haven't instantly clicked with anything in the last year or so, but after I listened (Same thing happened to me with Yob's Our Raw Heart this year), I started to enjoy it and now I love it. Dunno how that shit works.

It's not for everyone though! That's the beauty of music. We all love something different on some level and that's awesome.

I had forgotten that the new Andrew W.K. album even existed over the summer, but have gotten back to banging it again.
