"Finally?" Behringer has a long history of lawsuits, legal threats, anti-journalism practices, and bullying. There are reports of toxic work culture, abusive behavior, and unethical practices that go back multiple decades. I don't see how those previous actions could not have been regarded as legitimate reasons.

I wasn't aware of most of these things until they were brought back into the light with this recent scandal. Most times I've brought up my unease there have been a good number of people on the pro-Behringer side that didn't agree with me.

"Behringer. The most hated brand in pro audio."

Understood. From what I've gathered from various places is that company life behind the scenes is far worse than what has trickled into press reports and forums.

In Sonicstate's latest podcast, Nick stated Behringer employees are in a "fairly intolerable position." (15:12 ) Ty Unwin's earlier rant from 12:22-15:00 is quite epic though.

Too witty and too direct for such an uninspiring operation. Even Uli's ill-advised pranks are knockoffs.

My favorite defense of Behringer is when people act like using cheap work-a-likes of 40+ year old designs is the only way to make synth music. Am I the only one who sees the irony/absurdity of being a self-described creative, while simultaneously championing someone else for plagiarism?

I have to buy Behringer, because I can't afford vintage synths. I love that Behringer is helping me be more creative. ---The fuck? Why don't you just acquire some cheaper items and be own your own gatekeeper. Music is supposed to be a creative outlet, where people get to invent themselves---find their own voice, their own sound. Yet, again & again I see people line up to defend Behringer, on the grounds that it helps fuel their creativity.

I'd say that really Behringer is a perfect example of why there is so much boring and lame in the current world we live in. Cheap shit made by poor people for a company owned by a big asshole, but, it's cheap and instant gratification. Who needs quality, or skill, or originality, or self respect? just consume and keep your head down.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a company as large as Behringer going after a single individual like this. It’s terrifying that news outlets aren’t picking that up. I’ve been trying think of other examples of this type of behavior and I really can’t think of anything...

If I was an individual who made my living reviewing products and a company went after me as relentlessly as Behringer’s doing I’d be horrified. This seems like something out of a cyberpunk alternative universe.

I remember reading a review of the company on the site glassdoor and was shocked at the reviews.

Behringer always weirded me out as I was getting into pedals. The "too good to be true" aspect of what they were plus feeling like a god damn happy meal toy made me shy away from their stuff.

Wouldn't be sad if they went under at this point. Especially after the corksniffer thing. So fucking immature and stupid.

Just log onto Muff Wiggler. They are definitely the most despised company with the "holier-than-thou" gatekeeper types over there.

The "I want Eurorack but it's too $$$$$$$$ and what's a vca" guys seem to like them. :idk:
