I'm excited to see how the fabrikat changes and generally just excited about the fabrikat.

I like the rotary knobs too, but I got one second hand and experienced the issue with the rotary knob on this. I imagine the LEDs and reg pot would be a welcome change for most folks(especially if it has better durability). Knut was generous enough to offer me repairs for free, sans shipping. Thats seriously above and beyond.

Anyway, fabrikat is the best. Pladask is the best. Can't wait.

Hey thanks for your input + opinion folks! Have made a prototype with a rotary encoder + LEDs. Everything seems to work as intended. Next up is combining the LEDs with a frontplate with transparent fields for illuminating the program numbers. That's in production over at SEEEDstudio. After that I'll be contacting a manufacturer for PCBA. Know I've said "more FABRIKAT inn October" but now I'm just hoping to have it ready before new year...

Still waiting on the faceplate test. Need it to finalize the schematic before PCBA. Contacted PCBWay about manufacturing. First time ordering PCBA so a little scary. The data files check out according to their customer service. Don't know the leadtime once the order is placed, but I'll be able to start work on the enclosures and a daughter board in the meantime so I'll keep busy.

The numbering looks incredibly crisp. Are the black letters etched into the panel and the numbers cut all the way through?

This is actually a PCB board. The letters are made of exposed FR4 pcb board. The black circles round the numbers are the solder mask layer the gold is the copper later with ENIG (gold finish)
