Yeah, by prepare I mostly mean make sure it loops properly (as it's something that makes sense as a loop). Nothing fancy.

Samples sent last night. One is just grungy distorted drums but the other is one is a cool synth pad that my daughter cooked up using Massive/Maschine. She was pretty insistent that I send it along for Vol. 2. Stoked.

yes, hyped for receiving sample set...!
I meant to send a raw recording of drums, then decided to cut out a nice loop,
cause it makes sense for drums to be a loop
then got caught between "it's for ILF, they'll appreciate nicely fuxxord drums" & "it's for ILF, they'll need raw drums to completely fuxxor beyond belief"
So I decided to send a file of twice the loop: one pass dry, the other infected
and that... got out of hand
in a nice & useful way I hope

Mine were sent last night. Kept them raw for chopping. Looks like we have 3 drum samples now. My daughters helped. Should I give it away what we did? My oldest daughter sort of experienced recording paralysis, started getting nervous and kept making errors and getting a bit frustrated. I wanted her to have fun, didn't know if me being there in the room was adding pressure, so I told her I would leave the recording running and she can play until it feels good. Listening back to her deep breath after a mess up broke my heart, as I know what that air feels like. But she did okay in the end. My younger daughter...well, she came up with a move on the drums called "Tickling the cowbell" https://www.instagram.com/p/Bcfet6FnHZu ... detocontra and every song ends with the sticks above her head in an X. Rad girls I am raising. Told them about the project afterwards and they were into this idea.

I managed to find some time (well, I slept less) and cut/looped/sent my samples.

My Radio Music is ready for another bank of sounds, I'll very probably play this one live like last time...

I'm going to have to drop out of this, kept telling myself my mood would come around before samples were due but music mostly makes me feel sick at the moment and them life pains getting in the way etc. Still really look forward to hearing what other people do, sorry.

Olin, working off your track in the Circle of Riffs collab was exactly what I needed to help pull myself out of some darkness. I don't want to see you go because if it could be good for your own health, plus I would love to hear what you create in this project with your talents... but I understand too. PM me if you want to talk.

Ok, got all the samples except for one from ProCarsten and both from UC. Sitting at about 16 so far so we should be good as far as a pallette goes, since we'll be around ~20 total.

I'll be incredibly busy with holiday stuff until about the 29th, so I'll probably send the samples out around Jan 1-2... Which puts the deadline at about January 15th?

Sound good to everyone?
