I'm just bored at work. IDGAF what you use. If it makes you happy, I'm happy for ya. I'm just not as curious as you as to why people like what they like.

This isn't important any more. What matters now is using the search to look up 'word salad'. Something that is spoken about a lot, but nobody wants to dive into. Time is a flat circle. We've done this before.

This just means your amp isn't expensive enough.
I'd actually tend to agree with this in a way. Not on the money side but perhaps the quality side. A good amp won't change character that much when using a digital process versus an analog.
Or your amp isn’t sentive enough to be affected by it. I play a Matchless and it’s as sensitive as half the personalities on this thread. It changes drastically by anything I move around on my board. I consider this to be a good thing. It loves pedals but I can hear noticeable differences in the things I move around or pickups in my Guitar.

I retract my previous statement about getting a more expensive amp. Nothing can match a Matchless. It's all in the name, really. Let's go home, folks.

But I still don't know what digital bypass is.

Well I mean he said my amp wasn’t good enough, I had to throw it out there...
But no really, I can get real technical on you and tell you how it’s the EF86 based pre amp but I won’t. I know how much gear works and why it works that way. I’ve now found simply based on this thread people are not interested in how or why their gear works the way it does as long as they plug in and it makes sound. So I’m out...

Don't leave man. For what it's worth I didn't think what you posted came off as aggressive and I also didn't think it was worded poorly. I would love to know about the EF86 but I respect your decision to leave.

Oh no it was definitely worded poorly, I was typing it getting ready for work. And I can sense the sarcasm ;-)

Not everybody wants to hear the same thing when it comes to the sound coming out of their speakers.
