Yeah, sorry, it's Mardi Gras season here in New Orleans so had taken part in some libations yesterday.
I had a guitar teacher when I was 15 who used to say the same thing to me when I was having trouble making difficult chords. He was also from Vietnam. "You have amazing long finger so you should make amazing chord."
I guess context matters.
