I know I don't post much but I have some clear gear goals, just haven't figured out the "how" yet:

1) Stereo rig, hopefully by way of a Verellen Kalaloch, although after shipping customs taxes this could end up in the €2500 range...
2) Add synth(s) to rig. Possibly as part of the stereo rig but not necessarily. I have this 12-step laying around that needs to be put to use.
3) Power supply for at least 90% of my pedalboard. Currently I use 6 adapters 4 of which are 1-spots...
4) Acquire EGC bass VI and make current Fender my back up or acquire second Pawnshop series Fender VI as back up.
5) Pedals... where to even fuckin' start when I've gone stereo...

All of this combined could end up costing upwards of 10k, and I have a decent day job but also own a car, need to pay rent, health insurance, taxes, phone/internet bills, dry cleaning, and oh yeah, eat something along the way

Not much of a history. Got the MIG50 a decade ago? Bought it at a retail store for $1k NZD on the recommendation of a friend that it was a good deal. Recently I discovered that it was way too much money. (I did a search on my local guitar forum recently to gauge the price on the NZ market - found a thread from 10 years ago talking about the exact amp I bought saying the price was "preposterous").

Anyway, I was happy with it and still am. Ignorance was bliss at the time re:price, and it's probably climbed a little bit since then anyway. It was my first tube amp, so was a nice upgrade from my shitty Ashton practice amp. I really liked the clean sound, and it worked really really well with my Vox Big Ben Overdrive, which was the only dirt pedal I had at the time - got good metal toans from it. Anyway, I paired the amp with a legacy 2x12 with celestions, which I plan to keep and use with the next amp I get.

The only issue I had with the mig50 was that it would randomly pop sometimes when going to standby - even though I followed proper procedure every time. My mate said that "I wasn't doing it right", and even though I was, since he was a much more knowledgeable guitarist I was stupid enough to believe him. I've literally never had that problem with any other amp. My mig100 goes to standby quietly 100% of the time. I think the issue with the mig50 that the volume isn't completely zero when at its lowest knob position. I've been meaning to get it fixed, but the nearest amp doctor is ages away, and I avoid driving even short distances in this city like the fucking plague.

Oh, had one other issue actually. Dirty pot. Got it fixed though.

I bought the MIG100 on the second-hand market about 2 years later for $1k NZD. It was a pretty good deal I think? Being that it came with a 4x12 cab. Although it was a random cab that I never was told or bothered to find out what the speakers were - only that it was a "Sovtek 4x12 cab". I doubt it's worth that much or that they're the greatest speakers. I never really used it all that much though - my band broke up rather messily not that long afterwards, and didn't play guitar for several years, until just recently.

Now they're going to be replaced because they're the bottleneck in my current setup. Got a really nice guitar. Nice pedals. Modest amp. Seems like a backwards way to do things. Would be better with modest pedals and a really nice amp.

Sell my tele. Buy a cheaper tele. Convert to 30" scale.

Use profit from tele sale to buy used Pitchfactor.

Visit Pappy's shop to bend out my auxiliary switch/patch bay enclosure. Build that stuff.

Finish 60hp in Euro to complement my Mother 32.

Put all the recording jank to good use--get a desktop to record on (only thing I'm missing).

Get a respectable bass amp; replace fretless neck with fretted short scale.

Finish my basement so it's not ice fucking cold when I'm playing down there.

Practice with my buds more to get some stuff off the ground. Thinking like a gnarled-out hot covers band based here in Ann Arbor--Britney and stuff. Also lots of bluegrass arrangements.

I would hope to do the same and actually start to focus on writing music again ... though the reality will likely be more exploration of random filter effects, less traditional overdrives, clones of various fuzz circuits I enjoy, ways to amplify my Atomic Amplifire, and alternatives to my craptastic Line sux 4x12 cab. I may also add some sort of affordable arranging keyboard or synth to the heap as well. It will become my automated jamming buddy.

I actually have been planning on an SM57 too just to bring to gigs for the lazy sound guy who claims he has no more mics and demands running a DI

Possibly replace my three side jack pedals with top mount pedals and add some sort of reverb to my board.

A good apartment amp solution
CT5
More mod pedals
Build a small army of cool pedals and ditch the "eh, why not?" Pedals
A guitar with humbuckers. SG maybe?
Minilogue? Some cool synth.

Record more music
Save money
Start another band
Play shows
Play shows
Play more shows with my emogaze band
Play more solo shows
Experimental
Chilltronic
Solo doom
Whatever
Create more meaningful art

In order of importance:

Find ideal foundation dirt box (catalinbread not withstanding)
USB interface for recording
Get backup guitar wired correctly
Sell things I'm no longer using actively (I hate accumulating clutter)

These things also skip band goals, which include:

Record quality demo I'd feel comfortable giving to people at shows
Rehearsing more consistently
Play more shows

Maybe reorganizing our band will assist the last two, maybe even all 3, but who knows? Hard to do all that when you're moving.

I'm straight, for now. Might finna grab a Moisturizer since I've been pussyfooting around it since they debuted. Nil urgency here.
