I understand what you mean about it not working well on bass for you. It's a very specific set of sounds that is very different from what is used in traditional bass roles. It's suited well to noise and ambient and weirder experimentalism. I tried using it in my post-punk band, and while i loved it, the rest of my band was less impressed. It's an effect that needs space to move and breathe one its own. That's how i've been able to use it, at least. I much prefer it with synths and instruments with rapidly changing harmonic content, so that the grains can do their thing.

Particle+Timebender on long delay settings= Pure Bliss/Chaos!

Agreed. That's why they're my two forever pedals. They are so good on their own, they are so good together.

My partner and i made a bunch of tape loops, including a few cut from a tape of Glenn Close narrating the story of Sleepy Hollow. All i can say is her creepy voice on a 4 second loop saying things like "Heaven preserve us - of the hollow." Through the Particle -> Timebender is one of my favorite noise/drone sources in our techno set. It just does amazing things.

Nope. Kind of have a gear buying freeze while i learn the Octatrack, unless one of my dream gears pops up at an unreasonably low price. I specifically am holding off on the digiverb bc while the reverse is nice, the Octatrack has other reverbs built in that can be applied to the instruments i run thru it, so i wanna see how those work out. I still might get a digiverb to throw on one of the mixer sends.

Bumping this up

The rnd mode is my favorite so far. It adds a haunting glitchy granulatey sound and it sounds good after anything!

Have one on order from Prymaxe. Cannot wait to feed this thing into my CT5 for some insane loops and noise.
