There was a broken glass one at NAMM too...

I dunno. My friend had one (not broken glass) that I loved, but it was an older one. Had no idea it was a kiss guitar...it just looked badass.

He moved on to a Parker...that thing was pretty cool in person, but looks weird in pictures. All black everything (the body was all concaved, even the back...and it had a crazy bridge and other weird stuff...he pawned it eventually).

Paul Stanley made them famous, but the Iceman design predates his input. Ibanez used him to catalyse the brand in the US.
They are badass. Paul Stanley is not.
He is a lover.
Mostly of himself.

From the time I was 8 to about 15(almost 29 now) there was nothing but Kiss for me. The first CD I owned was ALIVE! way back when. Kiss was actually my first Arena concert, all four original members on the first (haha) Farewell tour. But then I got older, my tastes broadened by friends and other musicians, and I saw kiss for what they were..a brand name. I'm not a fan of anything post Frehley and Criss, but I still dig the stuff I grew up on.

Yeah, I gotta say, I never got down on some KISS. But, the Iceman is a great guitar.

Pretty much the same story for me, I was around 12 when I started buying their records from my neighbor's yard sale for a buck each. Kiss is awesome when you're 12. Ace was always my favorite.
SPOILER : show

Yes. They weren't always a corporate monster. And I'd be lying if I said Ace and Paul weren't the driving force behind me picking up guitar to begin with.

Kiss is great turn your brain off and drink hard music.
No shame in having some big dumb fun.
King Buzzo is their biggest fan, so that's gotta say something.

Speaking of Buzzo...

I mean, his EGC is rad, but I wanna know who's making his full body turtle necks of ultimate wizardry.
Shit is the coolest.

I love Mosrites. Must be in the pesticides...too many cool ones. Those brass rail bluesbender style ones are freaking awesome too.
