A guy on Harmony Central/TGP did a Metropolis theme. (which doesn't "wow" me, but it's significantly easier to read than the official production model) I feel like there were some others going around, but I didn't see them on a quick Google search.

Nailed it. Type of ugly I'd expect to see in a sleazy off-strip casino.
Man, you people don't know how to live!

I'm with you Chank. I've always wanted to own a Kustom organ for the sheer novelty of how esoteric they are. This is retro-futurism near its peak.

No. I thought so, too, but it's just the toon boobs playing tricks on the brain. The pedal will appear in its natural snot green color after about 15 minutes of continuous staring.

As displeasing as I find the Polara, the Ventura is still the fugliest of all the recent Digitech eyesores. You could find more inspiring artwork in a Reno truck stop bathroom.

It sucks to see the digitech hate. The guy is super nice and his pedals are really great too. I don't particularly like the art but it's far from terrible imo

I'd agree. I think they're way better than most shit that is produced.
Evidence:
lack of comic sans or olde English fonts
Relatively coherent colour schemes
Nice knobs
Distinct lack of clip art graphics
Functions not labelled "whisky" and "rocks"
Nicely designed pcbs
Pedal names aren't bullshit

This is just from a cursory glance at overdrives at prymaxe.

Good work guys. Cover half of the pathetically small graphic with the stomp switch. Then randomly put the pedal name off centre because the part of the graphic that is actually visible is right where you wanted to put the pedal name.

The Devi Ever bought out by a mid-sized family restaurant chain aesthetic is bad enough, but those plastic knobs take it to a new level of incoherent shittiness.

3 terrible font choices don't get better by randomly smashing them together.
That was just a selection from the first page of results. I didn't even have to search for Tortuga, analog alien, dls effects, geek macdaddy...

Haha I have one of them kustom cabs, but in black. Way more boring. I'd rather have a colorful one :Joy:
Even though I make no secret that it's my favorite thing, the Timebender isn't exactly a looker. I like digitech the most of the bigger mass producing companies, and I kinda like that they try some crazier graphics from time to time.
I recently saw this on the Swedish second hand market and the typography annoys me
I really like that reel-to-reel on there though

You're living in a fantasy, Hobbes.

What do you mean "the guy"? Digitech is a corporate outfit, owned by Harman. Just because they have 1-2 people posting on social media, that doesn't make them some mom & pop outfit, run out of a garage.
This is an excerpt from a 2011 press release.
[HARMAN has a workforce of about 11,800 people across the Americas, Europe and Asia, and reported sales of $3.5 billion for the last twelve months ended December 31, 2010. The Company's shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol NYSE:HAR.]
Like I said in an earlier post, I've never started one of these threads, because egos will get bruised and you can't fix someone else's taste. I think those pedals are disgusting---inexcusably hideous and I'd fire someone if they brought me work like that. That's the difference between a corporate outfit with a graphics guy and a design firm. A design firm has a support team and bad work gets thrown out. When you're a solo designer in a corporate building, and your boss never took an art class, you can get away with less impressive work.
