And I'm with Jwar on Wonderwall. With Oasis, you just have to accept the fact that they're idiots and enjoy it.

No way man. After working in a bar and hearing literally every single fucking cover band/dude with an acoustic guitar play that song, I could go my whole life without hearing it agian.

"Wonderwall," like most songs on the first two Oasis records, is a confirmed classic.

Nah, obviously it's been overplayed to death, but it's a fantastic song. Beautiful cellos alone, rich and deep sounding.
My favourite line is, "I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now." Beautiful and totally echoed by Karen O. in the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Maps" when she sings, "They don't love you like I love you." This idea that you love someone best and want recognition and vindication for that. Fragile and very human.
But I really wanna know, though, is what exactly is a wonderwall? Is it like a wall that keeps the shit out of your life? In the mode of "If there is no love in the world, we will make a new world, and give it heavy walls"? Does it keep out illegal Mexicans? And will Mexico pay for it?

Ok ok, let me explain: besides the fact of them being such douchebags (showbiz is full of this kind of people, it’s surely not the main reasoN i hate them so much) I’ve spent my entire highschool years sorrounded by friends that loved them. At first i was just indifferent – i was more into Blur and i didn’t care at all about their mediatic dissings - but after being forced to listen again and again and again and again to this irritant voice AND to people singing along every goddamn song of that album for years AND also being forced to play this fucking song two or three times because i was the only guitar player at parties, i simply just can’t stand them anymore.
You know when you eat something so many times that you can’t even smell it anymore? Same.
And man, his voice.
It just makes me want to pull my skin off.

Blur is fucking amazing. If anyone disagrees, I swear to God I'll cut you. Send me you address and I'll come cut you.

Song 2 is a radio jam.

Despite Blur being quite possibly my favorite band ever (certainly most sentimental), I can't deal with Song 2 most of the time.
