I saw that earlier today. Funny, they left all the MIDI specs out of the manual.
Though, I did learn a couple of things - like holding down "FX" when everything is stopped will clear the FX if you have multiple fx on.

Sorry if I missed it, but can any of the owners confirm whether fx can be applied to individual loops?
Do wish it had send/receive jacks for wet-only processing

Guess the Music Instrument industry is taking a cue from the Games industry by selling incomplete products at full price with the promise of additional content later.

good analogy, unfortunately

Very apt analogy. Think Eventide H9 Max as buying the deluxe version of the game with a season pass included for unannounced future DLC. Or you can just buy the basic version and just pay for additional map packs/hats/missions just like reverb algorithms.

Anyone else getting a click at the loop start point, as if the waveforms at the beginning and end aren't matching at the zero-crossing?

really interested in this, anybody can comment on the midi sync? Been looking all over the internet and I'm not seeing much discussion about it.
I'd slave it to the clock of an elektron box, does it quantize the loop start/end to the bar? Is it reliable / any drifting with an external clock? If you stop the loops, does it start again when receiving a MIDI Start message?
cheersss

It only responds to clock but it syncs well to Midi Clock.

alright thanks @manymanyhaha ! Out of curiosity, whats your setup? how are you using it?
Think I'll give it a go, its really the cheapest looper option with midi atm.

I have three that I sync either with a Touchprone midi clock (ebay) or from Ableton.
I'm still working out how I use it but there are tons of things to explore.

I have one up, might end up taking it down. I just wish it was a tad smaller.

do you guys think the x4 or two loopers in different locations would be a better way to go.
kind of want a couple of x2s?

That's a tricky one.
Having a looper before and after effects is great.
But having two loopers time synced is also great.
(Also X4 has dat MIDI).
If I had to choose, I would probably go double X2.
But that's because most of what I do is ambient.
That being said... I'm getting an X4, and also keeping my X2

The inputs on the x4 are totally seperate so you could go in and out left early in the chain and in and out right later...... you can also keep your loops in sync that way, if you want out of sync you'd have to turn that feature off and use loops 1/2 for each input. Fx goes across both simultaneously though.

Interesting.. Is the firmware figured out enough to use live?
