njschneider2 wrote:It makes sense that he might be a DB. Otherwise, who else would charge $325 for a pedal (the Acetylene Nirvana) that you could build for $40 using the Madbean Sharkfin pcb?! I've built a handful myself, and they aren't as difficult to build as LWA boasts.

I guess things are worth as much as people will pay for them, and these complaints are vast in the pedal world (see any JHS thread), so maybe I should calm down :idk:
I don't think you're wrong. I totally get being paid a fair wage for an hours work, but it does seem that many pedal makers wayyyyyy overcharge for what their products actually are. I get it, they're sonic artists who are skilled craftsmen, but I agree $325 for a metal box and $20 bucks worth of parts inside seems excessive. That's why I love Built By Ryan. His stuff is amazing and because he sells direct thru Reverb and puts no graphics on his pedals he sells them cheap. But they are super high quality, easily comparing to the best boutique builds I've ever seen. Idiotbox is another one who keeps things reasonable. Anyhow, that's another topic for another thread so I'll just leave it there.

He shattered his tooth. Poor dude. I wouldn't wish dental issues or sun poisoning (had that) on my worst enemy.

I like Joe. He is unhinged but that's a bit of why I like him. We did have some issues here and there, but they weren't bad and at the end of the day, he's ok. He is more personified a certain way to market. I've spoke with him on the phone and he is chill as fuck and nice as can be.

The internet is a weird thing you know.

I also don't fault the guy for making as much as he can. More power to him. Things are as valuable as one is willing to pay.

Anyone have an update on their order...I have nothing...I think because he doesn't have cases for the 'doorstopper'.

Bossman, what are your thoughts on the LHW Deluxe? Let me have it (the review)!

My last four pedal orders (different companies) are pre-orders. I'm done with the those and waiting lists after this. Nothing against them but it doesn't work for my impulsive/spur of the moment mind frame. Who am I kidding saying I have a calculated 'set up' and 'plan'? :yay:  :animal:

Also did anyone go for the LHP reissue? I've decided to start going for more off the cuff distortions (not that I have anything against HM-2 adaptations, I don't). Part of this has to do with my favorite death metal toanz coming from Chuck Schuldiner of DEATH...he didn't use pedals.

Yo Yo Sharktooth. Wassup bud. Ok, the LHWD..........

Well, as much as I fucking despise the owner of LWA (and think he's a nazi and a fascist for wanting to violently assault anyone who disagrees with him politically), the LHWD is a killer pedal. I hate to say it. Seriously I do. But for bass, this thing has balls for days and cuts thru like crazy. I sold my MIJ HM-2 because next to the LHWD it just didn't have the oomph. Probably because of the blend on the LHWD which is probably the best blend I have ever experienced. It keeps the bass punch totally intact. The second channel on it, which brings in the rotary dial for mids is brilliant in that it really changes the pedal into a different animal. The second channel actually sounds more like a traditional overdrive/distortion than an HM-2, so it's almost like getting 11 pedals in one.

But having said that, the owner is a fucking piece of shit scumbag and I would never buy a pedal of his new. I bought mine used and was glad none of my money went to support a fascist.

Any other questions, PM me please. I don't wish to promote this piece of shit's pedals anymore than I have to. But honesty trumps all......it's a great pedal.

Welp...just acquired Left Hand Wrath Deluxe. Fellow NJ Bro gave me a sick deal...too good to pass up.

I may be saying goodbye to my beloved FX86B (I'm not selling it, just putting it in a drawer...for now).

If anyone listened to the last ILF Cast, jwar made it known he loves his Hypnotic Eye Phaser, except for the fuzz circuit. Jwar, the 'Your and You're' might sound pretty wicked in there (a synthy fuzz).
Sorry to bump the thread but the anticipation is killing me for my pedals.

Yea I'm thinking of something like an Ugly Face thanks to Digi2 (sp??). That would be wicked!

According to the gram, a big mail day just happened. Did anyone get their grab bag pedals? I want to compare and contrast . Hopefully within the next 48 hours we may be!

I hope my grab bag is a belton brick reverb. Those sound cool to me lately.
I corresponded with Mr. Lone Wolf a week or two ago. My stuff should be coming soon.
He's doing a run of the doorstopper again if anyone is interested (at least 10 people were last time). I would let anyone interested know how mine is but...I haven't got it...

A one day only pedal debuts in an hour...hmmm...I'm not going to get it but I am curious.
Looks like the mystery pedals are just a stripped down Annihilation Machine. If such is the case, I'm okay with that!
Graphic for the Doorstoppers look great! The red knobs are a nice touch. Although it looks like it's going to be part of the main pedal line up (I bought it cause it was supposed to be a 10 run only thing but if it sounds as good as he's talking it up then can't say that I blame him).

A fellow fuzz bro currently has my UNIT 731 for etching...his graphic rendering looks stellar so far!

Well I missed it. Did anyone see what the one day pedal was?
