I really don't know. I know if you modded the PS1, it'd die within months or even weeks. I'll ask a friend about it, and get back to you.

Cool thanks

I guess it depends on the modchip. I heard several people go on about the chips killing the PS1 quickly, but it might also be dependent on the model of PS1.

I think I might just buy a flip top and Swap Magic or whatever its called.

Like I said, I'll ask my friend tomorrow about a PS2 modchip. He'd know best.

Have you got a fat or slim ps2?? If you've got a ps2 slim, the swap magic might be the best idea... If you don't, maybe you should try the mod chip.

I did that on two or three PS2s back when I was playing import Guilty Gear and other fighting games every day. It's slightly annoying and tricky to install depending on which method you use--you also have to either replace the disc loading door with one that has a SECOND door so the PS2 won't know when you open it, or open up the PS2 and put in a few little plastic things to fool the door sensors--but once you are past that it works perfectly.

Swap Mahic works for the old bulky PS2s as well, you just need that funky little slide tool thing to open/close the CD tray. I do it for the 2 japanese wrestling games I own (both of which blow the WWE Smackdown vs Raw series out of the water).

May be a long shot asking this here, but what's the trade-in value on a PSP Slim & Lite in Gamestation in the UK nowadays? I was in my local one over the weekend, and spotted a SF4 Tournament Edition Arcade stick. It was new and still full-price, but if I could knock that down by a significant chunk, I'm more than prepared to part with my PSP and games for it. Either that or finally get round to getting the Sanwa parts for my SE stick which has the usual faults with it.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

Has anyone played star ocean the last hope? Pretty cool so far, but I can't help but feel it's terribly easy.

On the first disc on the cardianon mothership...I've never had a character KO'd, and my items are almost always fully stocked.
Most of the time I tell my party not to use any MP just to drag out the battles past a few seconds.

I am a bit OCD with killing EVERYTHING in each dungeon so I may be overpowered, but if I wanted to go stealth and sneak around I'd go play metal gear
There are some that call me...morningstaru?

Well, Xenogears and FFT were already said, so..

Tactics Ogre (Tactical RPG) (PS1)
Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner 1 & 2 (PS2)
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (Lucifer's Call in PAL version) (PS2)
Revelations: Persona (PS1)
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (Innocent Sin if you ISO games. You need a translation patch for it.) (PS1)
Tales of Destiny (PS1) TOD isn't turn-based.
Shadow Hearts: Covenant (PS2)
Breath of Fire 3 & 4 (PS1)
Front Mission 3 & 4 (Tactical RPG)
Valkyrie Profiles (First one on PS1)

That's all I can think of at the moment.
