LP: The Jam - Snap! 2xLP from a charity shop for pennies. Battered sleeve and a totally crackly. I still have it.

CD: NOFX - Ribbed.

Never bought a tape.

Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit.
Dude. For. Rill.

And hell no Annie Lennox doesn't suck! For shame.
I understand in the reality you experience how that holds up, but you didn't have to rent a shitty old place from two barely domesticated feral cat landlords who purported around an aging lesbian as their "owner", who liked to blast Eurythmics EVERY SECOND OF THE FUCKING DAY.

Alanis was just kinda bland and then she went away. I have no issue with that.

That song is a good song but sadly I don't like any of the others, granted I like her voice a hell of a lot more than that girl from you can't do that on television.. she should have stuck to acting, she was good in dogma.. when JLP came out I was a bit put off.. all the buzz was like she was suppose be like Liz Fair or L7 not dressed up Canadian folk rock... :picard:

Speaking of Liz Phair her first record is pretty good.

It's amazing. Second one is really pretty great, too. After that... everything from "questionable at best" to "invokes screams of 'whyyyyyyyyy?'" comes to mind.

Ok speaking of great lyrics that still elude me. (and technically it's off the second record but Popvulture was right two years ago and he's right now).

How does one fuck like a volcano?

Asking for a friend.

Wouldn't it be like getting someone pregnant cause there's an eruption and permanent (devastating) consequences?

I remember my first cassette was Chumbawamba - Tubthumper (I sincerely wish I still had this). Not my first CD (can't remember) but one I still have and remember going to Trump Tower / Tower Records (my has the world changed) for was WHITE ZOMBIE - La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1 (Still have it, still rock it, still awesome, wish I had a T-Shirt). First vinyl was an inherited single of IRON MAIDEN - Run To The Hills (no explanation necessary).
