It's not my favorite (Come On Die Young/Zidane) but it I love it and their only album without a song I consistently skip. The end of "I Love You..." is one of my favorite musical moments ever.

It's the album that resonates with me the most. I love all of I Love You, such a great progression.

No, I also really like The Hawk. I'm not sure if I have a favorite Mogwai album. I was listening to "A Friend of the Night" (from Mr. Beast) the other day and it's just so awesome. Drummer is really great in that band.

And that is the other thing about a lot of Post-Rock: Very rarely are there creative drummers or a band orientation where all members are contributing something creatively. It's mostly just that drummer hitting the ride and it's not very creative.

EDit*** - Just checked out 'Sgt.' and the album Stylus Fantasticus on youtube - really good.

it's a good record for sure, but it's seems a bit... not done. or distant. I don't know. but it does have some of the "best off" Mogwai tracks

I used to love Mogwai. Got into them 1999-ish when "EP" came out (The one with "Stanley Kubrick" on it), but I can honestly say, hand on my heart, they haven't made an album I genuinely loved since Mr Beast.

I like the song about the Glasgow snake.

Also, I saw Explosions in the Sky at TT the Bear's in 2003; they were good that night.
