thanks man! it was hard enough finding that website, and then it's password protected? And it was NOT guest/password?!?

I doubt that's too dramatic, music is powerful, especially live... and these guys seem to be awesome musicians and performing wih abandon.
also they're "fronted by a bone-fide emotional firecracker vocalist on the edge of heartbreak and revelation.. " so IMHO it's hardly surprising if you had one you lucky bastard

The vocalist gets absolutely amazingly into it

also out of it - he kept running and jumping around and punching fences after they finished the second set

lovely guys as well. One of those bands that's totally worth following around the Europe for a tour
ps: it was amazing to hear them say they dug our show as well

So getting back from the UK and the ArcTangent-festival a few days ago I'm a bit late to the topic but anyways.
Was definitely looking forward to seeing Vennart the most, which in no way disappointed. Then (at an awesome festival like this) there's just soooo many others you want to watch and I loved doing so. Body Hound were amaaaaaazing! I love their record, but live it was even better. Juffage really impressed too.
The bigger acts (whom I've seen before) like Dillinger Escape Plan and Cult Of Luna were perhaps not at the best I've seen them, but solid as usual. We Never Learned To Live, British Theatre, Rolo Tomassi, USA Nails, Vessels and Young Legionnaire were good too! And I still managed to catch Deerhoof, Maybeshewill, Marriages, Helms Alee, Iran Iran, Crows An Wra, Talons, Cleft etc. The list goes on. Such a brilliant festival!

saw Cult of Luna tonight (also had the pleasure to share the stage)... the fucking delivered here in montreal. Shits emotional and intense.
just got in from bringing gear home... winding down..
but a band I saw earlier this week that blew me completely away was Set and Settings from Florida. Their new material (not on
2014 album) is super fantastic. Dual drums that make real use of two drummers. I haven't gotten as many goosbumps at a show as that one. Those guys deserve so much more success..

Saw Cult of Luna on Friday night here in Chicago. It was excellent -- really tight and cinematic.

kbit wrote:Mutoid Man impressed the hell out of me. Ive never seen a band have so much fun with each other on stage, let alone while being tight as fuck. They kept flipping eachother off whenever there was a tiny break in their playing. Brodsky introduced all of their songs in a super tongue-in-cheek metal fashion. Much laughing was had.
I really wanted to go see them but three nights of music in a row was just going to be too much. Next time through I'll def check them out.
Old Man Gloom tonight at the Empty Bottle!

Hey I was there too! Vennart, Delta Sleep and Deerhoof were my highlights. Arctangent is always amazing fun!

you saw Vennart?
I'm a huge Oceansize fan and his new record just made me so happy... I'd probably shit myself if I talked to him or saw him live

His music touches me in a special way
ps: i'm pissed off I can't go see Battles today with one of my favourite czech bands supporting, because I had to go to the dentist in my home town and there's no way I can make the show. And I'm going to Prague in the morning to really rub it in

Yeah Vennart was awesome. I'm not even a big oceansize fan but his solo stuff is nice and they put on a good show.

hell yes. They were SO FUCKING GOOD a few months ago. Like being repeatedly bashed over the head with a snare drum for 40 minutes or so.
Also, while Broadrick was doing all this noise and feedback at the end of the set Green wiped down his bass, packed it up, waved bye to everyone then went straight outside for a cigarette...while Broadrick was still going.

Just found out Vibrators are playing two bars in the OC this weekend. I know there is no Knox (only the drummer is original), but still. Missed them last year.
