Do you write album reviews for a website? I'm not trying to be snarky but it really sounds like it. The way you talk about music sounds like an absolutepunk.net review.

Also on that wavelength, I totally forgot the new BJM record which totally deserves a spot here.

The last two years have been so much Jesus Lizard worship holy shit.

I'm guilty of it too. Everything I write is just a Jesus Lizard song sometimes slowed down with a bunch of reverb.

I'm sure I'm close to hitting saturation point on it but for the moment I like it. Less easy to slip into guitar store blues rock cliches like stoner doom has, and it forces bands to up their game a bit if you want to try and pull that shit off.

New Acid Mothers Temple record is pretty damn rad. I more or less like everything they put out though, they have sort of perfected this sound that I'm conditioned to love.

I do! I write for... AbsolutePunk.net

So I naturally take this as a compliment.

Using the present tense is a bit strong though, it's been a few years.

I think I wanna delete all my old reviews and start over.

I don't even like the Jesus Lizard that much to begin with

Don't misunderstand me, I respect them and understand how important they were

But I lump them in with Jeromes Dream as a band where the vocals ruin it for me most of the time

Because you (apparently) like Puddle of Mudd?

TBH I have a softspot for "She Hates Me"

But man, when it comes to songs ripped off of other songs, "Blurry" is so close to Duncan Sheik's "Barely Breathing" that you can literally sing the verses over each other

Patheeeeeetic
