I agree that having a pedals that are really good at one thing and simple are the way to go for most things, but I really think having a pedal or two that has a bunch of features on your board is really beneficial to help you smell boners from miles away.

I really felt that way about my Timeline and BigSky for a while and was thinking about downgrading but it turns out I really can use a lot of the sounds I never thought I would, just gotta put the time in and find them and tweak them to my liking. That time ends up being really fun for me.

Stutter delays, pseudo rainbow machine sounds, pseudo trems (i love feeding a 100% wet reverb signal into the square wave trem delay), weirdo random filters, bit crushing, vibrato, looping. I really like all of those sounds, but I don't use them enough to justify having a pedal dedicated to solely those effects. Meanwhile, I use fuzz, reverb and delay like all the time so I'll stack up on those.

My exception is the El Cap. I've found some really great sounds in there and managed to incorporate a couple into songs lately.

I was mainly talking about the Descent. As awesome as the octaves and reverse and 3 presets are, I really only need a pretty standard verb. I'm leaning towards a RRR or Ghost Echo.

I'm constantly tempted by the H9 and the Warped Vinyl. And I just really checked out the Möbius and JEEZ.

I mean if the pedal that does one thing and the one that does 100 are worth the same, why not go with the one with more options? Just because you're not not using 99 of them doesn't mean they are wasted, just means the 1 is tailored to your sound. I generally only take the "too many options' route when it detracts from what I want to get from a pedal, like when I traded my Context, as I wanted a more lofi reverb. Now I have an RV-3, of which I use only one setting out of 11, and I couldn't be happier. :idk: (I guess I also use an RM-1N, but I use that more as a shoegazy dirt than anything )

Besides, if you get a new shiny box of awesome and it clashes with your mono function pedal, odds are you'll end up flipping it. With a pedal that gives you more option, you can make it fit with more situations. Like my Elements, which I used to use as a high gain clear distortion and I now use as low-gain saturation/eq. Well, that's until I get the empress EQ that I want.

Does a fuzz pedal with goop on the circuitboard mean it's cocksniffer? If so I have some boutique cocksniffer on my board.

I have bought all my pedals second hand, and the most I spent is $200 maybe on one. It's hard to sniff dicks when you are broke all the time and easily satisfied. But one day, I will get to sniff someone else's gently used, well bloozed Strymon and that's cool to me.

Some would say that's the easiest time to do it.

I'm so happy someone already posted that "Smell Yo' Dick" video in here, 'cause that's all I could think of when I saw the title of this thread.

Someone on here should cover that song using only dicksniffer pedals, for maximum penis-smelling action.

I want Lao Wiz to etch a sick fuzz with stupid options on it and call it the "Cumm Bomb." It should attempt to tell the tale of the Hitler Klon thread and it's glorious demise. number one of one.

Parfum de dong.
