Re: The Year in GAS
2014 was the year of moving and working on technique. Very little turnover (I bought and sold an RV-2 and bought a DBA Reverberation Machine).
2015 will be the year of guitar projects (how the fuck did I start THREE?!) and maybe another amp if something comes along (Blackface Bassman, where you at?).
Hopefully somewhere in there I'll find a few pedals that I've been looking for.

Oh geez, Just got the Algal Bloom in the mail today (from ILF B/S/T) and I've never fell so hard for a pedal so fast. Not far off from ordering another one...

Re: The Year in GAS
2014 was a pretty active year on the gear front for me. The only part of my rig that didn't change at all was my amp.
While I was (and still am) sad to see my EBMM Sterling go in the process, I am totally in love with the two basses I acquired and kept this year - my brand new custom ACG Harlot and my 1980 Ric 4001. Absolutely incredible instruments. Thanks to them, I don't see myself changing basses anytime in the near future, if ever. I know, famous last words...ok, MAYBE I could envision getting either a hollowbody of some sort and/or a Bass VI. Maybe one of those will come by for a visit in 2015!
As for pedals, I've gone on a flurry of purchases here at the end of the year, and a number of them won't even arrive until 2015, so I probably can't include them on this list. What I can though is the ss/bs Mini I finally scored which I love even more than I thought I would! If I wasn't a ss/bs fanboy before, I'm totally one now.

The Octave Synth is awesome!Pepe wrote:Best pedal purchases this year:
KORG FK-2 Mr. Multi
Seppuku DPM-2
I was on the hunt for them for a few years and the Seppuku Octave Synth that I'm going to buy next week will jump on that list as well, I'm sure.
And to have stumbled upon this great forum about the more wicked pedals also made this year a special one!

Re: The Year in GAS
Coolest stuff I got:
Sunn Beta Bass
Squier VM Jazzmaster
Baritone Telecaster
A Bluebeard
Deluxe Memory Man
Of those things, I now only still have the Jazzmaster and the Bluebeard, but the Sunn is still in the family (with theavondon).

Re: The Year in GAS
Board at the start of 2014
1 pedalboard, 1 amp, a few guitars, and 50 pedal flips and a wedding later
yeah there's no fuzz but between the 280,GE7,Mod+Belle I can get some pretty varied dirt tones. Got some circuits on the breadboard to fill the void.
the NSA was onto me so I changed the frontline to the red white + blue

Re: The Year in GAS
On 12/31 i got a Budda super drive 18 MKII. So it was a pretty awesome year in GAS. I think that will be my major amp for my rock Band. Seems very promising.
2015 will hopefully be less GASy. I need new monitors and that's it for now.
But i'm a pretty spontaneous buyer sometimes... DAMn.

Re: The Year in GAS
Huge year for me gear wise
Basically doubled my pedal collection, learned what I really want from my pedalboard, and sold most of them again leaving me with this:

I also got a Bass VI:

Major purchase was this though:

Which quickly expanded:

Next year I'm just hoping to keep expanding my modular set up. Starting with a Mutable Instruments Clouds when it's released in a few weeks and a new case built by Mr Ryan Summit. Oh and maybe I'll finally get my hands on a Science Mother
