woah yeah that's a super lame demo. could definitely get some nice sounds. especially on keys as others have suggested. overall, not worth the money to me or probably most other ILFers

That clip was the fucking platonic ideal of lameballs, but I'm going to reserve judgment on the actual pedal until I find out a little more about expression control and secondary knob features. The drive/saturation side doesn't do much for me, but if there's some weirdness hidden in there, it could be pretty cool. I hope you can have exp control of the lag time and wobble knobs, because I could see that being pretty cool.

couldn't have said it better myself.
the El Cap had sick secondary features. most of their pedals have wacky sounds hidden somewhere. i'm hoping a Kayzer demo isn't far off. :snax:

I liked the sounds at the end of the demo. As a bass player though, not really my thing. The demos aren't very good either. I could see a lot of people using this though.

Exactly this.

The brief moment of flange was the one point at which I sat up and went "Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy now." If there's more that you can do with that in there, it could be pretty sweet.

does it have different waveforms ala instant lofi?

that wobble needs some thump at least

yeah the wobble doesn't seem wobbly enough

You know that sound it makes when you try to play a cassette after it just got jammed and its all crinkly and bent up? I WANT A KNOB THAT DOES THAT.

i'm kinda not surprised, strymon doesn't seem very adventurous to me. it also kinda seems like a different kind of pedal. more short delay tricks + saturator than a true tape simulator type.

not interested in this in the slightest. Just not my genre at all. Plus, if I wanted, I can do everything this does and more with 3 pedals I already own:

Foxrox tzf, any delay I own, and any overdrive really (id use the Elements)

To be fair, they never turned the wobble knob above 1:00 or so. It's possible it can get crazy if you turned that knob way up. But they're not going to put that in a demo, that would make all of the blooz lawyers run for their fainting couches. Strymon knows where their bread is buttered.

I reserve my full judgement for later demos that will actually fucking try

I think any pedal can be super lame if you do generic cheesy lame shitmusic with it, so Deco can still be pretty cool if used for anything else :)
