So I reeeeeally hate the speakers in my 2x12. I thought they were both V30s (the cab was gifted to me and I never looked myself), but I'm starting to suspect there's a G12T-75 in there. That speaker has a really fizzy top end from what I've heard, yes? Cuz that's what's going on with that cab. I know they're both Celestions at least. This is all just filling air before I bring a phillips head to the practice space and open it up tomorrow though. Regardless I think I'm gonna throw one or two Swamp Thangs or Texas Heats (or one of each) in there as an extension of my 4x12.

I never really heard about that on the g12t-75's I guess I'll find out cause I got a pair recently so I'll see soon enough

Turns out there's a V30 and a G12h30 in there. No wonder I remembered incorrectly. Now the question is keep the V30 and switch in one Swamp Thing? Or swap both speakers out? Or just say fuck it and grab a cheap 4x12. My share mate has an old Marshall 1960 lead he's not using (by the looks of it). Wonder if he'd sell it to me (depending on the speakers) hmmmmm.

v30 and swamps are one of my very favorite combos

it does because the end result is basically a super v30 or a more-midrange swamp.......both are awesome IMO
