dont u think good black coffee has at least a little bitterness to it?
Nope.
I guess it depends on how dark it's roasted (and possibly other factors), but I don't like dark roast coffee. So, I don't usually drink it.
I almost always drink my coffee black though.

Yeah, except you're not really bitter, Greenfuz, you just play a bitter person on TV.

This!
I don't drink coffee regularly, but I love black coffee. I had to stop while I was going to cosmetology school. Being nervous with a pair of shears after drinking coffee is not good

Wawa coffee FTW!

I prefer French press, beans just ground. I prefer dark roasts, but I've been using medium roast beans lately because the best quality for cheap at the grocery happens to be only available in medium. (They seem to not want to stock dark roasts in whole bean for some unknown reason.)
At the office, the big guy keeps it to Starbucks dark roasts, and I'm getting to agreement with the over roasting. I'm starting to get suspicious of stuff beyond a "full city" roast from most roasters because so many are overdoing it.
Oh, and for inky thick, non-bitter beans, my fave for a long time was French roast-style Summatra beans. World Market used to have that -- don't know if they still do.
