i like it a lot. i actually like it better when it blends in and the extreme ratcheting isn't as obvious.

Nope.
No free shipping with Strymon either but I think it was only like $10 extra on the TL and Möbius.

i guess your discount is that you won't need to hope for a decent seller

buying direct from strymon IS great security & all, just surprised they don't make a deal on preorders.
you know... like fairfield circuitry DOES.

Yeah, preorder discounts should be standard business practice. At least most all ILF builders operate on that principle and then some. Strymon knows the TGP crowd isn't sweating any discount tho.
Speaking of, I looked on TGP earlier this afternoon and based on order numbers being posted they'd already sold like #450 units. Flying out the door!

I think that right there is why Strymon doesn't do pre-order discounts. I mean, why would they? They're going to sell more than they can make for quite a while, and unless it was a pretty substantial discount people like me who want one but can't afford the $479 would still not be buying one anyway.

yahp. they DO make some really good sounding stuff. but just with the TGP crowd they're set for each release to make grippy grip.

Oh man, TGP is about to get unreadable again, just like it did after the Timeline came out.
"Has anyone gotten their Big Sky?"
"Big Sky buyers: What was your order #?"
"What is the big deal with reverb?"
"Big Sky users: What are your settings? I spent $500 on something and don't understand anything"
"Where am I?"
"How do you guitar?"
Etc.

Haha. I saw a TGP post that read something like "SOLD and I haven't even heard/watched a demo yet! Who can I give my $500 to? Wonder what Strymon will unveil next?!?"
That quote is essentially TGP in a nutshell. TGP=sheep.
Also tons of guys wondering how to fit a Space, BigSky, and H9 all on their gargantuan P&W boards lol.
