Re: Confirmed Starcaster reissue non-tease from Fender
i'm not interested in a foreign-built starcaster or coronado, no matter the country of origin. i was just hoping these would be period-correct avris. i'm sure they're cool guitars, but not for me. and in my experience, chinese workers generally are very dedicated and things there have changed rapidly for the better (except for the environment).univalve wrote:Snobcheesecats wrote:crafted in china

i hope the starcasters and coronados are a great success and people here have fun and make loads of good music with them.

Srs though at $699 its totally feasible to get a starcaster and spraypaint "EET PVSSY" across the fretboard...

If it's standard neck pockets, you can get 12-string tune-a-matics and stop-tails, if you catch my meaning . . .

Re: Confirmed Starcaster reissue non-tease from Fender
Played a black Starcaster bass at CME yesterday. First of all, the bass seemed well put together with no finishing issues. The bass itself is a little on the heavy side for my taste, but more importantly, it balances very well. I purchased one of the shorts ale Gretsch's last year and couldn't play it as it dove straight to the ground. Returned it immediately.
I think it sounded good, but couldn't quite tell as the little room I was playing in was basically all cinder block and contained a very large amp. I'm highly interested in buying one once I sell off some other gear.
