From what I've heard it's basically a boost and when you turn it up you get some midrange boost that makes it a little tube screamer-ish. I'm sure there's room for improvement, although Brian said he wouldn't be changing the circuit :?:

Yeah, I can get Klon clones that are pretty much exact replicas everywhere, including locally on craigslist for $100 now :whateva: :idk:

I'm much more interested in Brian's take on it because I'm so into the Fuck sound, and I trust him to make something even more awesome than the Klon ever was. It's not even that the Klon is a generic sound -- it's certainly not as over-used in popular music as the tubescreamer sound, but it also doesn't add a whole lot of character on its own, and it is out there already on a ton of records. I'm far more interested in having something with a little bit of the builder's soul and personality in it, that isn't out there on hundreds of records already.

I'm sure once he gets it on the breadboard he can mess with it.

I think there is room for improvement on the higher gain side of the pot. An as far as I know it's like a blend for the diodes? It'd be cool to have the Klon boost and then as you raise the gain it blends to an improved version of it. It's kinda honky sounding. IDK. Lol

I think the pedal looks good. I don't think the statement printed on there is entirely true, but :whateva:
