I'm totally gunning for Sunn 0))) support when they come here in a few weeks.
Supporting Earth in a couple of weeks, opening for Sunn 0))) as well would make my year...

Yeah majorly bummed! Was really hoping to snag the Auckland support, apparently the promoter for the Australian leg wasn't able to meet their requirements.
They might be going to rebook at a later stage through the NZ promoter.

4 days and counting till our show
I feel bad for you aussie guys, but it ain't easy sourcing 3 vintage model t's and ?4? early 70's silverface Ampeg CL's in the land down under from what i understand. I believe i heard somewhere that the promoter was even trying to just out right buy everything and still wasn't able to round it all up. They require the promoters provide a strict gear list, they only tour with their own gear on the west coast of the US, anywhere else and they have a huge rider with equipment guarantees.

yeah, they've been out here twice before but it was a few years ago, and toured by people who had a lot more money. The promoter's catching a bit of hate that he really doesn't deserve at the moment.

Yeah I kinda feel sorry for him, the same guy has brought some pretty sweet stuff to NZ this year. And bringing bands to NZ isn't easy.
He's bringing Earth here this weekend, brought Dead Meadow down earlier this year (got to play support for that one too), Russian Circles in a few weeks.
That Sunn gear rider sounds pretty tough though...
