Yeah, I've seen that picture floating around the internet. I bet only 3 or 4 of those pedals ever get played.

I don't think so -- he gigs, he's writing a book on the history of these things too. He's pretty much the expert on gear from that period. Nice guy too.
Can't imagine what battery change day looks like round his house though

Sorry for off topic but I fell this may be the best place to ask this question. There is a Shin-ei companion fuzz (fy-2) for sale locally near me. The seller is asking $200. Would you say that's a good price? I felt like it was pretty good since the one on eBay is going for $500 (

) but I thought I'd ask the professionals

the most i ever paid for a shin-ei fy-2 was £80 for a minty fresh one
the last one i bought was approx £15 (still needs a fix though)
the ebay BIN prices are stupid right now, check completed listings to see that they're going cheaper than ever lately, $200 isn't bad for a clean pedal in the USA but there's no shortage of those pedals
