I don't care about country of origin either, like Chinese people can't build guitars, it's all about how much Fender wants to pay the Chinese for each guitar and what kind of quality level they demand for that price..

Dang... f'real? What's the scale on a Jazzmaster? Same as a Mustang, too? Guess I could look.
The more I look at that guitar the more I like it... that fucking Strat jack, though... geez. It's like having a hole in your face. I could easily switch out those knobs... but the jack... YYYARRRGGGHHH!!!

Jag and Mustang use 24"
JM uses 25.5" found on most Fenders
I like the shortscale though Gibson's 24.75" feels best to me.

That Jag scale takes a little getting used to, especially if ya got the big hands.

Is this the first time they've put the Fender name on something from China? Interesting.

Just thought I'd revive this thread by saying that Tele Bass is hawt. I want, the Butterscotch blonde looks better to me then the sunburst. Man, I'd love to hit that thing with some fuzz.

Yeah, there's a correlation between which factories produce the product and the quality which is closely tied to the location of the factories. In Fender's case, better factories(to make a very, very broad generalization) just happen to be in the US, followed by Japan, then Mexico. However, there's been plenty of interesting stuff coming out of Japanese factories and the differences between factories are certainly blown up in marketing. I rock a MIM Fender and a Korean Schecter and I'm perfectly happy with them(although I've been meaning to change out the Duncan Designed pups in the Schecter for years).

Just swagged out a Tele Plus and it rules. Coil tap has no drop. Easy to twang. I'd get it and get rid of the middle pup. I already had a three pup tele and it was awesome.

Hey man, a penguin's gotta make a living somehow. It's not like they could choose where to be born.
Next you'll say they all look the same to you, huh?
