It's not so awful when the band actually kicks into gear*, but yes, it's both derrivitive/unoriginal and annoying... Still, hardly the worst compared to some of the stuff here... Never fucking heard of 'em, BTW.
*I listened up to that point, until they started the goofy duet singing again... 3 seconds of decent stuff in between obnoxious crap... I assume the whole song is like this, so I closed the tab... BUT STILL, not the worst by a long shot.
Also, cutesy, quirky, too-old-to-be-this-Indie-but-half-the-people-living-in-Austin-are-just-like-me types like those two schmucks kinda get on my nerves... not to say I don't love some of the music from those very same types of people, just that the whole thing kinda irritates me... blegh.
Anyway, I like Talking Heads and TMBG.

Indeed, too old to be up to it. Fucking huge over here I mean. They pack out every show they play, and play every major festival. And apparently, some news coverage too. I'd never heard of them before I talked to the fellow, but then I don't really hear of much.
