I love the part where he said that he doesn't tune his own guitars.

i only know who he is because he has the signature model Fuzz Face and Epiphone Les Paul. as far as blues-rock guys, forget it...i'm still trying to figure out Peter Green LOFL.

tbh, i've NEVER seen an impressive pedalboard on Rig Rundown, except maybe Brad Paisley.

the dude knows his shit.

but back to blues-rock guitarists; its probably the most/second most stupid genre to have a "omg so goood" guitarist because its been so academized.

is it uncharitable to notice that all his OD/dirt pedals sound pretty much like the same pedal with different levels of gain?

to be fair, thats sort of the point though

i guess i can see that to an extent; my Algal Bloom usually is set to be an extremely angry version of my Distortion+. that many of more or less the same thing seems redundant, though, when you could just set some of the amps to be more crunchy. :idk:

thats what Paisley does. instead of "oh this one sounds a bit sweeter"

aside from the twinkle land, they all sounded the same

Also, what's with the insistence of having a light delay on EVERYTHING? Or, how his four amps combine to create....nothing special.

As far as country goes, I can tolerate paisley, mainly thanks to my girlfriend and my redneck new hampshire friends i grew up with. do i own any cds? no. but i can tolerate the dude, and he's a pretty good guitarist

I'm pretty sure I have not heard one note of Joe Bonermasta's playing, and I'm totally fine with that. If I want to hear the blues, I'll go listen to Howlin' Wolf or Junior Kimbrough.

Meaning he's crappy "blues" for the modern boring white guy.
Fuck him.

Mising from video. JB: "Really, the most amazing thing is how I make these four amazing amps sound like crap."
