Well, it doesn't seem to be anywhere remotely close to either a Muff or any of the Tonebender versions.

Yes you are. Hope you're enjoying your 2nd Distortion Machine. If I had known you wanted 2, I would have just offered it to you here. Still loving the Octave Clang, btw.

If I ever get an overdrive it would be the Interstellar Overdriver but now, I'm getting a tube amp which will cover my od needs.

What other pedal are you going to get that does what the harmonic transformer does or supersonic fuzz gun? Yeah they are simple and the parts do not cost that much but as a guitar player why would you care? Beyond the concern that the pedal isn't going to fall apart what you really care about is the sound and these guys seem to be producing pedals that make sounds no one else's pedals do.

hurm. not to poo on them at all, and i LOVE their band, buuuuut..... the 2 or 3 DBA pedz i owned had problems pretty quickly after i got them. looking inside it was pretty sloppy wiring and since they kept breaking i assume cheaper components? i'm with you though, i could give two half hearted tranny fucks if there was only a pot, a cap and 2 wires, if it sounds good when it's clicked on that's all i care about.

01) i never clicked with their pedz, they're awesome but just work different than what i'm looking for.

02) i've heard their build quality has gotten better.

03) yeahhhhhh i mean charge what you want, it's a free economy and should be. but since i never fell madly in lurv with their stuff it's a bit pricey to me.

If they're such simple pedals, it should be easy to find analogous stompboxes from other companies.

The aesthetic is one of the coolest in the biz for sure! Their pedals sound badass too. I own and love a Soundwave Breakdown, Apocalypse, Echo Dream, and a decked out Armageddon clone. All rule.

Is the soundwave breakdown three knob version worth searching out over the two knob version?

The only difference in the three knob (I think) is the volume trimmer got moved to the front. If you don't see yourself needing to futz with that ofter, either one will do you.

If ur after sonic variety, I think the 3-knobber is a must on the Soundwave. The other two knobs are crazy interactive and lower output in some settings. Way more convenient to have that volume control on the outside to get things back to unity real quick.
