Just now I pulled out the sealed/sanded-through body to strip it once more. This will definitely be the last time. I was rushing the process and in addition to not spraying enough of the sealer, I didn't let it dry long enough -- when I looked at it tonight it really struck me, it looked fantastic! This entire refinishing project has been like sailing through a fog; I read as much on whatever step I'm on as possible but the only way to really learn is to do it, so I've felt unsure of my ability and the status of the guitar the entire way. Looking at the body tonight, though, I got a huge motivation boost.

For a few hours after I applied the stain it looked TERRIBLE, like I had used a magic marker on it. I was ready to call it quits on the trans and paint it Inca Silver as my backup plan. Let it dry and it becomes what I had set out to do months ago. Too bad it had to be stripped again, but now that I know what it can turn out to be I dont' think there should be any morereally feel like this is the end of the journey now!

my brother tried to rat out my stoner-ism to my mom. i'm mildly annoyed, but not really.

but uh, he grabbed a near-empty bag with like, a seed in it. and she threw it away. and kinda nagged me but i was like 'i'm really responsible and etc' and then it was over. she honestly didn't really care. aw yeah.

i guess the only thing i can do is smoke the rest of my weed (~1.5g) friday. you know, destroy the evidence and everything?

Ordered a phone on ebay (used), and I can't activate the son of a bitch, because it seems like the ESN probably isn't clear like the seller said. They shipped it 5 days later than they said they did, and they actually shipped it WITH THE PHONE ON.
Seller also said "ABSOLUTELY ZERO SCRATCHES." Yeah, bullshit.
