This Mini Strat has become my favorite guitar.
I hate playing normal heavy guitars now.
Seriously thinking about selling off much of my collection.
Did the switch mod myself.

Here's my Yahama something guitar (lol i don't remember the model). it plays super well and sounds great, has a tone selector knob and a bass and treble knob that don't really seem to work correctly. The different tone selects are really cool with dirt pedals specifically.

That Yamaha is super cool, don't think I've ever seen those before.

It's a new guitar day for me too! Mid 80's G&L SC-3, seems all original, just missing the trem arm (which is easily replaced). Plays really nicely, great action, and it sounds fantastic too. Very Strat-like, obviously, but those G&L MFD pickups have a little more bite than average Strat pickups.

It's kind of beat up, and I'm not sure what's up with the discolouration on the front and back of the headstock. But I think that just gives it character!

Appears to be an ebony fretboard, and it has a cool roller nut that G&l apparently used sometimes.

Super score, Colin, those're great guitars. (Don't think those tuners're original though.) Looks like a lovely pair with your Nelson.

Still got that pink Jag?

Thanks buddy, the gretsch is the nicest guitar I've ever owned. The japanese shop does really amazing work. I do still have the pink jag.

I have a banana yellow SC-3 from right around that same time. Awesome guitar. And yeah, those MFD pickups are glorious. Love em.

colin dude, that G&L is flipping awesome

The discoloration on the headstock makes it even cooler

I hope it and the Nelson have babies

Thanks guys! Yeah the Nelson and the SC-3 make a great combo. It'll probably be a while until it happens, but this SC-3 has only increased my desire for a vintage SC-2. Definitely going to try to track one down in the future.

Ha. I didn't wanna say it, but as much as I like SC-3s, SC-2s are the shit. Colin, you're on the right track. :D
