Yeah fuck that in a big way. That's what happens when you try to be the good samaritan on Melbourne's public transport system when a couple of homeless people are trying to rob someone. I also got slashed across the hip with a box cutter in that incident too. That actually didn't hurt. That's the reason I live in the country now. You really need to get past the first season and a half. I didn't get it either and now I have to admit, I'm really impressed. Excellent show.backwardsvoyager wrote:i don't understand Adventure Time. everybody raves about it so much but whenever i've tried to watch it i just don't get it. like there has to be something i'm missing.

i'll have to give it another try sometime. part of it is i'm so accustomed to Japanese animation that western stuff puts me off really easily, mainly the plot conventions and visual styles.Twangasaurus wrote:You really need to get past the first season and a half. I think it's episode 26-28 that has a cool story arc, if you don't find those episodes the least bit interesting then don't even bother with the show.backwardsvoyager wrote:i'll have to give it another try sometime. part of it is i'm so accustomed to Japanese animation that western stuff puts me off really easily, mainly the plot conventions and visual styles.Twangasaurus wrote:You really need to get past the first season and a half. Yeah I get that. If you don't use one it always looks gloomy or sarcastic. But I feel like I'm faking it to a degree if I dojfrey wrote:When it's someone's birthday, I sometimes get angry at them because I feel obligated to use an exclamation point following 'happy birthday.'
