edit: i watched all the Dramas around devi from the outside. i was never with or against her... i just tought Billy C. is a sad old guy when he started to post about her in the /he/she/it way - seems jsut stupid to me but i did not care and i was sure devi put enough shit in by herself. Long/short: this drama has also nothgin to do with me, but i will never ever do biz with people like her.

There's a few factors that are weighing in here.

Number one, closing this thread IMO is a bad idea. Yes it gives her attention, and she thrives on that. But on the flip side, it keeps people aware of why you should not support her business. It's not going to make a bit of difference if we talk about it on ILF or somewhere else. She'll get the attention she seeks.

Two. The tranny thing. Come on guys. Regardless of what she's done, we can't be on that level. Calling her a tranny is not right and I'm sure it's offensive to others whether it's meant to be or not. So let's stick to business ethics. IMO. I mean, do what you will, but I'd hate others to feel isolated here.

Three. She has a good heart and I think she's full of it. I've seen kindness in Devi and I think deep down she is a good person. I'm not sure why she's such a rollercoaster. It's a telltale sign of someone who has been tragically hurt through life and just trying to get any and all attention they can. Negative attention is just as good as positive. I've known a few people like this, including my own sister sadly. I can't believe she actually feels the way she talks. It's just silly.

Now I'm not saying that all should be forgiven and forgotten obviously. I'm saying, we ought to focus here on why she does not deserve to be a part of this industry. There are so many bat shit crazy builders out there that it's daunting sometimes. If I had a dollars for every time I ran into one, well I'd have a few dollars. LOL. A lot of pretentiousness, self importance and my shit don't stink attitudes. It's very weird. Kind of like kids in a High School.

There are a lot of pros though. Thank God. I get to work with some. But I've work with the crazies as well.

So what I'm saying is. Devi the person probably does have good qualities buried in her. I think all people do. Devi the builder, should not exist. Not now, and probably not ever. I think it's a toxic thing for her and her fans. Misery loves company though.

i am not sure about point 3 anymore. - sorry, but over all the years with devi, her dramas and her behaviour... hard to see anything behind. i just get a crybaby, a 10 year old girl who crys about her bad grades and start to tell everybody its the teachers fault... and brings up side notes about how ugly other kids at shool are...

See I just think that there are good qualities to all people. Some just have to reach a certain breaking point. I mean obviously we may never see that good side, but who knows.

thats good IMO i am always try to see the good in people... sometimes i should take care of myself and stop that... but thats a different story.

i certainly see a cry for help in some of her antics and i always try to see the good in people
but i also reach a point where i just stop caring because enough is enough.

I doubt we'll ever know. Could be developmental, could be organic, could be a combination. I doubt I'm the first to suspect she's somewhere in cluster B, likely Narcissistic Personality Disorder (her behavior maps to that pretty damn closely)
Given the nature of the disorder, if she does ever get diagnosed with it, I'll doubt she'd ever share that (it doesn't get play as a "sexy" disorder like asperger's can)

My thinking is along those lines. At least people are aware and can go in with some information (as we are all aware, Devi has a habit of wiping her own records and closed communication - like the kickstarter updates for example) .
A year ago, Dwarfcraft probably had a different impression of Devi.

Jwar makes some good points (not all I agree with), Devi's gender identity should play no part in any of these discussions. Not cool on any level. A shit person is a shit person regardless…. . Is Devi unstable? I think so. I don't know the person so passing judgment would be wrong but the perception is not a positive one. Do I think Devi does all this for attention. YES. A thousand times YES!

I agree with this thread being kept active, but I think she's a shit person, through and through. Too much manipulation, hateful talk, and shitty business practices makes her a detriment to the pedal community.

Did she design the logo for ILF?

Perhaps. I believe there is internal struggle in everyone between selfish and selfless impulses. Helping others vs helping oneself. They don't have to be mutually exclusive, viewing things in terms of "good and bad" is typically something I try to avoid.

Crazy people...dangerous people...trouble-makers are people too. They may have good qualities...but if being trustworthy is not one of them, the bottom kind of falls out from whatever brightside they may have. Personally, professionally. No credibility, no livelihood.

DE being transgender is immaterial. The issue is behavioral; a petulant child with entitlement issues cant get out of her own way...in making poor life choices...and unapologetically perpetuating their misery.

No need to apologize for being a good person with hope for others. If anything I wish I could be more compassionate, but I don't see this person as being anything but an antagonist who thinks they can get a name for themselves by being controversial and offensive. If she came back with the intention of redeeming her name and making good on all of the fuck ups that's one thing, but all she's done is further alienate herself from the masses and play the victim card by claiming the world is "gaslighting" her. It's sad in a sense but I feel my sympathy would be wasted on her.
