Yeah, saw that on FB and immediately thought, "Awww FUCK ME, gonna take even longer now!".

Honestly this is kindof pissing me off. Ive been waiting since early august and at the start of january he sent me a message that the guitar would be done in a couple of weeks but def that month and not its almost the end of feb and emails are going unanswered left and right. its not like i ordered anything custom or complicated either. I know shit is hectic for him right now but that doesnt mean its not annoying me.

hey, I ordered in July of 2011, and didn't get mine until June of 2012.
My wife and I conceived, carried, and birthed a baby in that span of time.

The waiting sucks, but trust me...
IT IS WORTH IT!!!

I've been waiting since July.

I get where Kevin is at, my work is the same (apart from making Guitars). lots of work with not enough time, time wasters, people complaining and push to get their work done before everyone else. Not to mention that there are lots of simpler jobs that just get overlooked before of more pressing tasks. In addition, staff having important things in their personal life.

Every business in every industry is the same and I doubt they're all having Tea parties in their 9-5 job.

Just relax :). I have two EGCs now - Series One bass and Standard Baritone. I was waiting almost year for bass and the same time two years later for baritone. If you like to get it quicker - try ebay.

Put my deposit down a couple weeks ago. Quoted me 15-16 weeks. But I know better than to expect that. I'm planning for at least twice that as far as pulling together my payments on it. Haha. I figured I might as well get in line now if it's gonna take a year.

I'm getting a custom Telemaster style one with 3 coil tapping humbuckers. Mayyyyybe a Sustainiac in the neck... :!!!: But I'm torn because I feel like one of his pickups would probably sound better than the Sustainiac. But of course, wont do the Sustainer thing. :!!!:

Maybe do 3 pickups with the Sustainiac in the middle.

Can't put a Sustainiac in the middle, it needs to be about 2" away from the pickup it'll be used with when the sustainer is on. :(

First world problems.

I had the pleasure of hanging out with Kevin yesterday. I interviewed him and will put together a news package for my class. I'll post the video on here when I get around to finishing it (which will be in a week because I'm on vacation). He's a cool guy and told me they moved out of the ghetto where they were hearing gunshots like every day in the afternoon. So now they're around the corner of a high school and only have to deal with kids smoking weed behind their shop.

So, since I'm saving for one, I have a question:

To anyone with a single-coil equipped EGC, how noisy are the single coils?

I tend to like single coil tone but the humming drives me crazy.
