you could also try multi-tracking the vocal. if you do three tracks of a lead vocal, it smooths out the difference between doubled vocals and makes it sound unified, and if you feel self-conscious because you feel like your voice is weak this can bulk it up.

thanks bro.

Am I worrying too much? Am I being overly self conscious? Anyone else do this?
Everybody hates the sound of their own voice. It simply sounds different from in your head. Vibrations and whatnot, y'know?
IMO, the only way to sing badly is not to balls up, breath deep and go for it. Half-assed, overly sedated vocals piss me off beyond belief.

Agreed. tracking it was quite funny, I made the whole band and our engineers leave the room and turn the lights off so I could do it. Haha.
They'll be buried in reverb and some delay, anyhow.

Ever read someone's review of a book, or movie, or whatever, and it is so blatantly apparent that they perhaps read the summary, or maybe just the introduction, and that's it?
Drives me nuts. (I'm currently reading 1 star reviews of books on Amazon)
A while back one of my friends asked me to recommend him some music based on what he liked. So I sent him a song by a band I thought he'd be into. Later he tells me he didn't like it for some reason or other. I forget exactly what it was. I do remember though, that his reason for not liking the song was only present in the first 30 seconds of the 8 minute long song. Clearly hadn't even bothered to listen past the intro. What the hell.

There is a beautiful Am Std P Bass on the Local CL. Black Body,....Maple Neck/Fingerboard; overwound Fralin PUPs $750,...the wife says no.

Probably for the best,...I've got to get my guitar setup for 1.5 steps down plus drop tuning, have it rewired and potentially a new nut carved (I'm assuming it's a plastic nut)...and I need to get my 5 string bass setup for .158 CKS strings (Gonna have a new nut carved to accomodate the wider gauge). So including strings and the work done I'm looking at dropping $3hundo on getting my gear up to par

aw, man, i feel for you. i had a lot of health problems when i was a kid, and so when my body fucks up on me it totally reduces me to the emotional level of a terrified child.

I just popped myself in the teeth with the springy part of a solder sucker.
My teeth are really vulnerable to disaster so anything like that kinda freaks me out.

Yeah, I read first part of that as "I just pooped myself in the teeth."
I don't like how my hair looks. My last haircut sucked. I want to do something jarring with it, but I don't know what.

I just realized the head that I bought is wider than the cab I planned on buying. This is a slight nuisance.

I put my head on my vertical 2x12 when I don't want to haul around the 4x12, it looks a little silly, but it works fine.
Man, I am falling behind on class projects like crazy. I just don't have the motivation to get caught up. Le sigh, I'll work on it though.
