I also have another fairly ordinary 2x12 with V30s in it. Oh and many more amps hahaha

The V4 has a new front panel from fliptops and has had a lot of TLC to make it that nice. The Traynor YBA-1A has had both transformers replaces, so at some point I will probably spend some time on getting that sorted as best as I can, otherwise its pretty nice.I am currently building a whole new baffle for the YGM-4 combo as a previous owner had hacked it up to convert it to 1x12" (originally a 4x8" amp), which sounds like a good idea, but they did a piss-poor job of it... Otherwise that amp is nice and original.

My baby is the 1974 Marshall Super Bass. The Laney is a rare 1986 Pro Tube Bass, which is essentially a Super Bass circuit with some slightly different values.
Could you fit two 10"s in the YGM? I'd be interested in how that sounds.

That's actually a good idea. I might look into that :thumb:

I actually had to rebuild the Pro Tube Bass as mice had clearly been living in it for some time, pissing all over top of the chassis, which had corroded not only the chassis, but also the capacitor clamps, valve sockets and transformer feet. So I stripped it, painted it black and replaced a bunch of shit (all the parts that are important are still original though) and put it back together. Fortunately the corrosion was mostly on the surface, so a good acid wash with a wire brush cleaned it all off nicely.

You can see pics of the process and a bunch of other shit on my instagram > https://www.instagram.com/brendanwillson/

Oh and there is my Sovtek MIG100H and the corner of my drip-edge Bassman on the shelf. There are still more that I could post haha. I do plan to purge a bunch of stuff at some point soon to cut down on unused gear, so that should bring my back down to a reasonable number of amps again.

Traded my Matamp 1224 for this beast today. Feels weird to say but I think I like it more than the Matamp!

working on setting this up as a long term practice, light gig solution,

sounded pretty good, although I need a mono stereo converter in there somewhere, may just make one,

Have a cab emulated DI at rehearsal space that will get added and maybe even a tiny hifi speaker setup so I don't always need headphones,

Got my new cab set up finally. Won't get to actually plug into it until tomorrow though.
